Koh Phi Phi

The climate in Koh Phi Phi

Phi Phi has a tropical climate, makes the islands warm all the year round. The northeast monsoon (lasts from November into January) is ideal, with gentle breezes, a clear blue sky and cool night. The weather becomes at its best from February to May. From November to May, Phi Phi is drown in sunlight for 26 days per month. The weather is “rainier” from late May to October, by the impact of the southwest, but the sunlight in Koh Phi Phi is still good at this time. The waves can be rough during this season and visitors are advised to be more careful while swimming.

The weather in Phi Phi Island becomes hot twice a year, the first between April and May when the temperature can reach to higher than 30ºC. From September and October, it is also quite hot, but the rainfall can cool the weather down.

The Peak Season is from November to April. However, during the time between December and January, accommodations can be hard to find and are pricey, especially in the time of Christmas and New Year, and the pe sites are very crowded, too.

How to go Koh Phi Phi?

There’re lots of ways to come visiting Koh Phi Phi, most common are start from Phuket or Krabi, then travel by boat or canoe to the island. It takes about 2-3 hours to get to the Islands.
