To get to Koh Pha Ngan, visitors will have to take a boat from Koh Samui to Koh Pha Ngan within about 20 minutes and 1 hour from Koh Tao. Alternatively, it is possible to take a boat from Chumphon mainland to Koh Pha Ngan which takes about 2.5 hours.

The dry season in Koh Pha Ngan lasts from February to April, this is also the most pleasant time to travel to Koh Pha Ngan when the weather is quite cool. From May to September, the temperature will be hotter and the rainy months drop by September and November.
