Pa Khoang Lake

Located at an altitude of 916 meters, with a basin area of 2,400ha, Pa Khoang lake is an important highlight in the ecotourism of Dien Bien province which is about 8km from Highway 279 and nearly 20km to the Northeast of Dien Bien Phu city center.

The best way to reach Dien Bien Phu is by plane, which has a duration of 1 hour from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) to Dien Bien Phu Airport (it is far 1 kilometer north of the city, in the direction of Lai Chau). Otherwise, you can take a car to Dien Bien Phu from Hanoi but this kind of transportation is not recommended because of the far distance between the cities and the long duration which takes about 11 hours.
