Cao Dai Holy See built in Tay Ninh is considered a famous religious destination near Ho Chi Minh City. This temple worships a religion that originated in Viet Nam with its unique architecture within the 1.2 km wide campus. It’s considered as a monumental religious - an artistic work with the mysterious appearance of the East.

Cao Dai Holy See (Tay Ninh Holy See) was built in 1933 and officially inaugurated in 1955. It is a particular religious construction of Cao Dai religion located in Hoa Thanh district, nearly 4 km from Tay Ninh city, where Caodaism was founded at the end of 1926.

Experiencing many turbulent waves during over three-quarters of a century, the Cao Dai Holy See has turned into a pilgrimage site for nearly 5 million believers around the world and a fascinating spiritual tourist attraction for many tourists.

The first impression for visitors when coming here is the Thien Nhan image right in front of the Holy See - a radiant eye, the sacred symbol of Caodaism. The holy campus is more than 1km2 with immense roads linking the architecture together. With eye-catching colors, Cao Dai temple – Cao Dai Holy See will attract you at first sight by unique architecture. The entire holy building consists of nearly 100 different large and small structures, built by reinforced concrete. The 12 gates are carved with four sacred figures (dragon, unicorn, turtle, phoenix) and lotus which are considered as the unique religious architectural works in the world. With a unique architectural design, Tay Ninh Holy See has a combination of Eastern - Western philosophical viewpoints, showing the synthesis of many spiritual elements in a harmonious manner.

It takes about 100km from Ho Chi Minh City to Cao Dai Holy See then you can visit Cao Dai temple on a private tour for half-day or full-day. Otherwise, combine a city tour with Cao Dai or one tour to Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai during a day to save your time if you don’t have much time during your trip.
