Sihanoukville

Located in the southwest corner of Cambodia, 232km from Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Cambodian name Kampong Som, is the largest seaside resort on the Cambodian coast and has the most tourist infrastructure. It has a series of beaches that are the longest, widest, and some would say the best, on the mainland. There is a chain of beaches running along Sihanoukville from northwest to southeast that is called Victory, Independence, Sokha, Ochheuteal, and Otres.
The cozy and peaceful atmosphere of Sihanoukville and its horizontal crystal clear white sand beaches make the province a popular spot for both local and foreign tourists. And thanks to the ideal weather condition, you can visit Sihanoukville all year round. Sihanouville Beach

The city is quite different from other Cambodian towns. First built as a port city in the late 1950s, the town is much more novel, more urban, and cosmopolitan than most Cambodian provincial cities.
Nowadays, despite becoming more and more popular with foreign visitors, Sihanoukville still remains its relaxed pace of life.
Sihanoukville has a wide range of accommodations, with a 5-star resort complex on Sokha Beach, several mid-range places downtown, and dozens of budget guesthouses, most concentrate on Weather Station Hill
Fresh seafood, featuring crab, prawns, and ocean fish, will never disappoint every food lover. There are also many restaurants offering foreign cuisines - Australian, French, Indian, German, Sri Lankan, British, Italian, pizza places, a couple of western bakeries, and even an espresso coffee shop.

Nightlife in Sihanoukville is great, where you can relax while having a cocktail at the bar, in the wave sound, You can find a wide range of cocktail bars on Weather Station Hill, in the downtown area, and the beach bars on Ochheuteal, ‘Serendipity’ and Victory Beaches.
Sihanoukville has a small airport, located to the east of the town. There are three domestic flights from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville every week. International flights from Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Beijing, Shenzhen (China) are available. From Phnom Penh (Cambodia), you can easily get to Sihanoukville by bus.
