Ngapali Beach

Located 7 km from the town of Thandwe in Rakhine State, Ngapali is the most premier beach in Myanmar. The name is pronounced as Nappali and be named after the Italia city Napoli. With its pristine, palm-tree-fringed white sand, the clear water of the Bay of Bengal, and a host of sophisticated accommodation, Ngapali nowadays become desire of a lot of foreigner tourists to spend their luxury relaxing holiday there.

Climate, best time to visit

Lying on 2m above the sea level, Ngapali has a tropical climate. The rainfall is quite significant. The average annual temperature in Ngapali is 26.0 °C (78.8 °F) while the precipitation is 4453 mm (175.3 inch).

The dry season is from October to the next May. This is also the best time to visit Ngapali beach, since the beach is calm, with blue sky and warm temperature. While in rain season, from June to September, it can be shower all day and a lot of flights to Ngapali are cancelled, which makes visiting the beach become harder.

How to get in and out

Ngapali locates not so far from Thandwe airport, with plenty of domestic flights from Yangon, Sitwe, Heho landing and taking off every day. Remember, in rain season, a lot of flights to Thandwe airport are cancelled, but fortunately, flights from Yangon are run throughout the year.
