Tad Sae Waterfall

Located around 15 kilometers outside of Luang Prabang, Tad Sae is a spectacular waterfall that you should not miss in your trip to Laos. Although Tad Sae is lesser-visited than the well-known Kuang Si Waterfalls, it is still a perfect place for nature lovers who are interested in exploring a stunning and peaceful landscape.

The falls pour over delightful limestone across different levels into a large turquoise pool below, which is an ideal space to swim in. Many outdoor activities that you can experience once visiting Tad Sae waterfall include swimming, sunbathing, ping, riding the elephant, and enjoying stunning views at a special treehouse café. The climate at Tad Sae Waterfall enjoys warm weather for the whole year with average temperatures ranging from 15°C to 38°C. The best time to visit the falls is in the wet season lasting from June to September. The latest time to explore the Tad Sae waterfall is October or early November.
