1. Bokeo Nature Reserve

4. Phou Khao Khuay National Protected Area
Phou Khao Khuay means Buffalo Horn Mountain which is 48 kilometers far from Vientiane, as its name, it is home to wild elephants, sun bears, clouded leopards, and Asiatic black bears. Phou Khao Khuay has mountainous geography with elevation varying from 200 to 1761 meters. Sandstones are also seen spread in layers. The geography of the park is different from other National Protected Area, wide flat highlands with sandstones with hardly any soil cover.

5. Nam Ha National Protected Area
Close to the border with China, Nam Ha NPA locates on the far northeastern corner of Laos. In partnership with UNESCO, with the assistance from the villagers and the Lao National Tourism Authority, it was considered to protect the environment because this area welcomes thousands of tourists each year.
