September proved to be amongst good months to travel in Vietnam. The weather becomes milder all over the country and most of the time is expected to be clear and balanced.
The North of Vietnam now already enters the autumn with soft sunlight and cooler weather. Average temperature is around 30oC and will get much cooler towards the end of the month. Sky is clear most of the time and the rainfall decreased remarkably. Hanoi, Cuc Phuong, Mai Chau, Ninh Binh, Ha long Bay… all enjoy good weather. The far north mountainous areas like Sapa, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Ba Be Lake also even offer better weather with blue sky and bright days are expected throughout the month.
The Centre of Vietnam now starts to welcome some first showers that help bringing down the temperature and drive away the uncomfortable hot weather of the previous month. Anyway, most of the time is expected to be dry and clear with blue sky and sunlight. Beaches in Da Nang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon and Nha Trang still remain good choice. Further up a bit, the Central Highland and Da Lat are still in the middle of rainy season so the condition is quite wet that makes travel there not really comfortable.
Weather in the South of Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta, Mui ne and Phu Quoc stays almost the same with average temperature ranges between 31 and 32oC. Rainfall is on its way to decrease towards the end of the month. As normal, afternoons will see some sudden showers for a short time and this is a good relief from a hot day.
