30 September 2022

From 1 October, 2022 International visitors to Thailand are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or ATK test results. It’s now right time to plan a trip to Thailand.

Since the start of the  Covid 19 pandemic, Thailand’s Centre for Covid 19 Situation Administration (CCSA)  has extended the emergency level 19 times. But fortunately from 1 October, 2022 this golden pagoda country will fully open to international visitors. Proof of vaccination status, ATK test or quarantine will no longer be required.  There is no Thailand restrictions left.

Thailand reopens fully for tourists

Thailand travel began gradually reopening to international tourism from July 2021 with the Phuket Sandbox, Samui Plus and 7+7 Extension programmes. This was followed by a four-phase reopening schedule from October 2021 to January 2022. On July 1, 2022, the  Thai Pass registration scheme was scrapped and foreign nationals were only required to  present proof of vaccination or a negative ATK test result within 72 hours of travel.

In addition, the stay in this tourist paradise has been extended up to 45 days for visa-exempt countries and up to 30 days for Visa on Arrival (VOA)  eligible visitors.
Now, with the kingdom fully reopened, international visitors are increasing, international events and local festivals are being held, and major international and regional airlines are resuming flights, from countries around the world. Thai Airways international (THAI), has announced their schedule of flights for the winter season from 30 October, 2022 to 25 March, 2023.

The resumption of flights to Thailand from around the world, along with a return to pre-pandemic entry requirements and extended stays for tourists, all come in time for the peak season, which runs from October to March.
