Thailand offers free access to museums and parks for New Year holidays

This New Year, be sure to enjoy Thailand's diverse culture and natural beauty - admission is free at the country's incredible national museums and parks!

As a special New Year's treat, the Fine Arts Department is giving everyone an unforgettable gift – free admission to all national museums and historical parks throughout the kingdom! Whether it’s discovering hidden gems or revisiting favorite locations, this holiday season you can explore with no limits from December 30th until January 2nd.
Unveiling an array of majestic artifacts from Thailand's golden era, the National Museum invites visitors to explore a vibrant collection of glittering gold ornaments hailing back centuries ago. As part of this special exhibition in Ayutthaya which opens on December 30, witness one-of-a-kind pieces such as ceremonious Buddha images and age-old relics that paint a unique portrait of its glorious past. On December 28 in Bangkok, be sure not to miss Phra Butta Sihing - the spectacular frontal palace image accompanied by 9 other mesmerizing idols at National Museum’s showcase opening between 9 am till 4 pm daily! Last but definitely not least is their outdoor cultural extravaganza “Khon Display" for free on 25 December 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at The compound grounds of our beloved museum where awe awaits all those who enter with no admission fee!
