Breakfast at the hotel and take a visit to the famed Wat Po to observe the serene morning chanting ritual of the monks, an incredible start for the day. Wander around the temple ground for sightseeing and admiring the huge gold-plated reclining Buddha.
Continue to the majestically and grandeur Royal Grand Palace, Bangkok’s most important landmark and marvel at the mysterious Emerald Buddha that is meticulously carved from a single block of jade and deeply venerated as the country's palladium.
Later today you will take a long-tail cruise down the Chao Phraya River for a wonderful discovery into the winding ‘khlongs’ (canals) of Thonburi, another world away from the chaotic streets of the capital where you feel like on an Indiana Jones’s adventure through the wild “Venice of the East”, passing lush green dotted with gilded temples on both banks, wooden stilts houses right on water, bustling local markets and vendor boats serving up Thai delicacies. Life along these ‘khlongs’ has long been an inseparable part of the Thai lifestyle and has hardly changed over the years.
On your way back, do not miss the chance to take great photos of the Wat Arun – the Temple of the Dawn, an impressive landmark of Bangkok sparkling in the background of neon lights.
