Built during the reign of King Rama VI in 1910, Hua Hin Railway Station is an iconic location. Meet new friends at Monkey Mountain
The village of Khao Takiab is few kilometers away from Hua Hin, where Monkey Mountain located. The name reveals that you can find a great number of monkeys living in the mountains. There is even food sold there so you can feed the monkeys! Besides, the most outstanding feature of the mountain is a 20 meter high Buddha image overlooking to the sea. This impressive statue can even be seen from anywhere on the shore of Hua Hin. Just a little walk past the Buddha image is a steep staircase leading to a small temple, Wat Khao Takiap, which offers a great view of the area and surrounding islands. Do not forget to wear appropriate clothes when visiting the temple!

The main attraction at Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is Phraya Nakhon Cave, which has a beautiful royal temple, built for King Rama V. It is also a symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan province. This temple is really a hidden treasure because it is said that Phraya Nakhon cave can only go through a steep and slippery road. However, the difficult walk to achieve is worth the effort so that you can discover the surprise thing. Khao Sam Roi Yot is a 98 km2 national park with many different attractions, thanks to limestone cliffs, mangroves, pristine beaches, dark caves, and rich wildlife. There is also a 1 km long wooden walkway on the swamp area that offers great views.

Pa-La-U Waterfall
One of the largest waterfalls in Thailand is the Pala-U waterfall, south of Kaeng Krachan National Park, a 1000-year-old forest, located just off the Myanmar border, an hour drive from downtown Hua Hin. The waterfall has 16 floors but most people stop at the third floor. The first three floors can be easily conquered through several paths. Passing the third floor will face more challenges as it is quite dangerous. There are very few people can reach the top but if you can, you will have a great view of Thailand and Burma.

Mainly a craft market, the Cicada market is only open on the weekends. The market is divided into 4 different areas - Cicada Art Studio, Cicada Cuisine, Art Style and Amphitheater. Lights in the night market are also quite impressive. In addition to arts and crafts, you can find all kinds of food for sale, bars and beer gardens at the market. Amphitheater organizes a variety of live music, dancing and performances to entertain guests.

Maruekhathaiyawan Palace
Hua Hin is the place where the Thai Royal has vacations in the summer, so it is also indispensable for the members' holiday palace. The Thai-Victorian Maruekhathaiyawan Summer Palace was built in the early 1920s by an Italian architect during the reign of King Rama VI. The architecture of the palace is made of teak with many porch, roof and high ceilings to keep the palace space cool in the hot summer.
