Looking around the city, there are nearly 10 pretty beaches, and the most popular are Serendipity, Ochheuteal, Otres, Sokha, Independence Beach… If staying here, you can choose whether hotels or resorts, mostly are located on Sokha Beach and Otres Beach.

Koh Rong Island

Probably the most popular island, Koh Rong is also the most developed. Luckily, there are some not-so-crowded white sand beaches to discover, like the pristine Long Beach.

There are many sports activities like diving, snorkeling, and kayaking to join, or you might simply go there just for relaxing and sunbathing.

Koh Rong Samloem

Koh Rong’s younger brother, Koh Rong Samloem is similar to what Koh Rong was some years ago. Lack of luxury and modern hotels, not many tourists choose to stay on this island. Hence, this is where you could come to get a taste of quiet and peaceful life.

Koh Ta Kiev

Located very close to the mainland of Sihanoukville, Koh Ta Kiev - a small island, is just over an hour from the coast by boat. It is famous for Syn Absinthe distillery. When coming here, besides visiting this distillery, visitors can struggle in clear blue water or sunbathe on pristine quiet seashores here. In particular, Koh Ta Kiev has a very diverse marine ecosystem, so it would be a favorite destination for tourists who love to dive.

Song Saa – Private Island

Song Saa includes two smaller islands, Koh Ouen and Koh Bong, of the Koh Rong archipelago. In the Khmer language, Song Saa means 'love each other' so this private island is an ideal place for couples to enjoy their sweet vacation. To reach Song Saa, you have to travel to Sihanoukville. Next, there is a free shuttle service from Sihanoukville International Airport and a boat shuttle from the city to Song Saa Island.

The resort at Song Saa will give you two choices: either staying at a floating villa on the water, or staying at a villa built in the forest. All of the villas here are designed in native architecture, each with swimming pool and one to two bedrooms. The cheapest villa costs nearly 1,000 USD per night. It is expensive, but worth every single penny. 

Kampot: Kep - Koh Tonsay Island

Kampot province locates in the Southwest of the country, having an eighty kilometres coastal strip with the Gulf of Thailand, and 2 hours driving toward the south of Sihanoukville. To balancing with the bustle and crowded Sihanoukville further to the North, you will find the quietness in this city.

The most popular tourist attractions of the region are surely Kep Beach and Rabbit Island.

Kep (30km far from Kampot, 35 minutes driving) was Cambodia's top seaside destination and now a favorite choice of locals.

Kep is famous for its stretching white sand beaches, clear blue sea and especially not overly crowded. There are also many resorts built during the French colonial period along with 200 old villas. Tourists arrive Kep not only for beach, but also for a variety of delicious seafood, especially crabs. The crabs here are not too big but great taste.

Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island)

Koh Tonsay, also known as Rabbit Island, is an island locates close to the southern coast of Cambodia, about 4.6 km from Kep city. As soon as you arrive at Koh Tonsay, you will feel the pleasant atmosphere, lush trees, clear blue sea, white sand, light ripples, many coral species and many rich marine lives.

In particular, the waters around Koh Tonsay are quite shallow and the slope is gradual, making it an ideal place for swimming. Most visitors visit Koh Tonsay Island in the morning and return to the mainland in the afternoon, but many tourists want to spend the night on the island to have new experiences.
