The world’s new trend is post-pandemic life. We are waiting for the world tourism to fully come back when countries can be free to open their border for tourists to travel around. Many countries now lift all the travel restrictions for foreign tourists who are completely vaccinated. So can we totally travel to Cambodia in 2022?

Is Cambodia now open to foreign tourists?

Cambodia officially opened for fully vaccinated visitors from the 15th of November 2021. So we can say that the answer is YES, YOU CAN SET UP YOUR CAMBODIA HOLIDAY RIGHT NOW. The beauty of mysterious Angkor Complex, pristine beach of Sihanoukville, rustic temples… are waiting to welcome you once again. Of course, to protect yourself and others, please follow all the instructions from the Governments and WHO to keep yourself away from the Corona virus.

What do I need to enter Cambodia in 2022?

Visa and Passport

Cambodia is now not providing tourist visas on arrival, but you can easily get an e-visa online.

Vaccinated Certification

If you want to enjoy your Cambodia tour without a period of quarantine, you need to prove that you have already got 2 doses of the Covid 19 vaccine. So please keep a vaccinated certification together with your travel documents.

What if you are not fully vaccinated? You can still travel to Cambodia, however, you will need to follow 14 days of quarantine before you can visit other parts of the country.

Covid 19 Negative Test Result

To enter Cambodia, all travellers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result that is released 72 hours before arrival in Cambodia at maximum.

Health Insurance with medical coverage

Travellers must provide proof of insurance with medical coverage of at least $50,000 USD for their stay in Cambodia. Covid insurance covering a 20-day period can be purchased on arrival at Phnom Penh Airport for $90.

Besides, foreign travellers are required to deposit 1,000 dollars by cash or credit card upon their arrival at international airports in Cambodia to expense during a quarantine period in case that any fellow travellers are tested positive for COVID-19.

Do I need to quarantine when visiting Cambodia in 2022?

If you are fully vaccinated, you don’t need to undergo quarantine. Of course, you need to show evidence of two doses of vaccine on your arrival. At the international airport, you must also do a rapid test and wait for the results (about 30mins), then if your result is negative, you are officially free to travel around Cambodia.

Non-vaccinated individuals still can enter but are required to do a 14-day quarantine in a designated quarantine hotel.
