Cambodia - weather & travel conditions in December

Cambodia is now in the full mode of dry season with excellent weather conditions available throughout the country. All the places are expected with lots of blue sky, bright sunshine, cool temperatures and there are very little or no rain at all.
Phnom Penh, Sieam Reap and surroundings of both enjoy beautiful weather with 9 hours of sunshine daily, moderate heat and humidity. Average temperature is around 30oC.
Banlung, Ratanakiri in the northeastern region now offer the best conditions for adventure activities and discovery whilst the south coast from Kor Kong all the way down to Kep is basking in sunshine, lots of blue sky and perfect water temperature promising excellent swimming and beach relax.

Events

Angkor Half Marathon
Held every year on early December at Angkor Heritage site. This is an international sport event that held not only for cause of sport but charity too. The event attracts competitors from all over the world and thousands of spectators in and out of the country. A special event and great to join in.

Christmas
This is a pretty new practice in Cambodia and not for the majority of the population but for tourists and some young Cambodian. This happens mainly at tourist towns like Phnom Penh, Siam Reap and Sihanoukville. Christmas parties are available in big hotels, bars, clubs and restaurants.

How to do and what to expect if travel to Cambodia in December

December is considered the most popular month to travel to Cambodia. Good weather is now available in all part of the country making travel here so pleasant and enjoyable.
The country is now just beautiful for any activity you can get, from adventure to easy and comfort travel. Biking along the length of the country is a great idea. Highlights such as Siam Reap, Battambang, Kampong Thom, Phnom Penh and so on all are in moderate temperature and so lively to explore. The northeastern rural area offer good condition for adventure discoveries whilst beach on the south coast now bask in brilliant sunshine with clear calm waters promising good swimming and relax. 
During this month you can spend longer time in Cambodia and each of its highlights but except you want a very detailed adventure, 12 or 15 days is enough to enjoy the country.
