Cuba – International tourists who have received full Covid-19 vaccination, with an eligible certificate, will be able to travel to Cuba from November 15th without having to take a Covid-19 test.
From mid-November this year, travel restrictions will be lifted in this Caribbean island country. All airports will be reopened and commercial flights will resume.
Travelers who are fully vaccinated just need to present the vaccination certificate to the immigration agency. Those who have not must present a negative PCR test result which is taken 72 hours prior to their arrival.
Cuba- the beautìul Cairibean island is waiting for you travelers
The decision came after the Cuban government estimated that most of the population of this island country would be fully vaccinated by mid-November.
"Based on the progress in the vaccination program, more than 90% of the population will be fully vaccinated in November and, with the effectiveness that has been proven, the status of public immunization will soon be reached in the country. Conditions are now being prepared to gradually open the country's borders for international tourists from November 15, 2021.
Procedures will be made more flexible and will focus on monitoring those with symptoms rather than mass testing. Quick diagnostic tests will only be performed randomly, not requiring visitors to do PCR tests on arrival and, traveler’s vaccination certificate is fully accepted”, stated the Cuban Ministry of Tourism in a recent statement.

The random test will be done at the airport and if a positive case of Covid-19 is discovered, the traveler will be transferred to a hotel hospital, a kind of tourist facility that is designated for isolation and medical care purpose.
Currently, all foreign visitors to Cuba are required to undergo a 5 day quarantine at hotel hospitals, with two PCR tests. This regulation will end soon in November 15th.
