Get transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Kentung. (You can start the trip from Thailand at the Mae Sai border of Chiang Rai with a 4 hour vehicle transfer to Keng Tung).
Located in the far eastern part of Myanmar in the Shan State, this little charming town nestled in a sleepy valley surrounded by picturesque landscape of undulating hills and green mountains. The town is great gateway for wonderful trekking opportunities to discover untouched surroundings that is home to a great variety colorful ethnic tribes who retain very well their unique lifestyle.
In the afternoon you will take a guided tour to explore around this pleasant town. Enjoy sightseeing of some Shan architectural grandeurs in town and get to visit a little village of Palaung tribe nearby where you have chance to witness locals daily life with their unique customs, culture and appearance.
Remainder of the day is at your leisure. It is nice to take a leisurely walk around the scenic Nong Tung Lake, enjoy the laidback beauty of the town with the feel of traditional Shan atmosphere.

After breakfast, take a morning visit to the bustling local market where you see hill tribe people in colorful costumes from surrounding hills and mountains gather for exchanging and selling their goods. Strolling through, enjoy fascinating sights and sounds, get for you some wonderful shots and perhaps try some local tastes.
Later, take a wonderful trek along little tracks through hills and forests to an Akha minority village where you meet and interact with villagers, hear interesting anecdotes about them and get insights into their typical lifestyle and traditions. The people of Akha is known for their dress with colorful patterns and elaborated headwear made of aluminum or silver.
After lunch and a short break, continue your trek to a village of the Enn tribe. Also known as Ann or Eng, this minority group of people is unique to Kengtung region and is one of the most traditional ethnic groups found in Myanmar. They are known for their typical black dress, elongated ears with large earrings and black stained teeth rooted from their tradition of chewing betel nuts. Later of the day, enjoy the panoramic view of Kengtung and picturesque at sunset form the top of the Lone Tree Hill.
Back to the hotel and evening is at your leisure.

Back to the hotel in the late afternoon and remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Tour price: Travel Authentic Asia focus on quality and affordable package prices with the best value. The price is based on number of traveler taking the trip, the accommodation category you wish to stay, the mode of transportation, meals provided….
Payment: A deposit of 30% of total price is needed to initiate the tour booking after the itinerary is finalized. The balance for the trip is due 15 days prior to your arrival.
Arrival and departure flights: You are advised to make your own booking for international flights from/back your home country. This allows you to determine better the travel time frame, budget and to deal with insurance claim when needed. Travel Authentic Asia team will base on your flight schedule to work out the best itinerary for you or/and to modify the itinerary to get it matches.
Travel documents: You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas, permits and certificates for the countries in which you will visit during your trip. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the duration of the trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip. Travel insurance: It is your responsibility to get your own international travel insurance and read the insurance policy before you travel and ensure that the insurance scheme provides with the requisite level of cover.
